LongNeck SideWinderTM
The Advantage Products Inc. SideWinderTM is a simple and effective wellhead that allows access with coil tubing, through a Side Entry Port (SEP) into the casing annulus for de-watering and cleanout. All this can be accomplished without utilizing an expensive service rig. The SideWinderTM can also be used for wireline and sensor insertion. It can be configured with up to 3 SEP's.
The design of the SideWinderTM with the side entry aspect allows coil tubing access at any time without any disassembly if the wellhead and more importantly, production can be maintained. The use of a service rig to remove the tubing hanger is now no longer necessary. The latest configuration of the SideWinderTM is such that it is now possible to have more than 1 SEP. Our standard product is 1 SEP, but it is possible to have 2 or as many as 3, depending on customer requirements. The multiple port option allows for not only servicing a well with coil tubing, but also for data acquisition. Pressure and temperature monitoring and even telemetry are accessible through these ports.
Hydrostatic pressure in gas wells can also be relieved to re-establish gas flow with the use of the SideWinderTM. Again there is no need to disassemble the wellhead; the pressure relief can be carried out with coil tubing while the well is still in production. A shorter, studded version is also available. If a customer requires a larger flange on the base of the SideWinderTM, we also have a weld neck version.
Simply put, the use of a SideWinderTM introduces many options to significantly reduce well servicing costs. To put things in perspective, the SideWinderTM can pay for itself by eliminating the first service rig callout.
If you have specific pressure requirement and flange configuration, we can build to suit.
